We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Analyst to join our diverse SOC Operations team at Proactive Appointments Limited.
Key Responsibilities- Work within a Cyber Security Analyst Team as part of the SOC Service Desk, triaging, assessing, and responding to potential cyber threats through to resolution for customers.
- Participate in shifts for a 24hr service coverage rota, including overnight and weekend hours.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents using Microsoft Sentinel and ticket system.
- Follow processes for Incident, Problem, and Service request management based on ITIL practices.
- Help produce weekly and monthly reports, including analytics for some customers.
- Manage SOC tools, configurations, and updates.
- SC-200: Microsoft Security Operations Analyst certification.
- Other SOC Analyst/Security certifications (e.g. CompTIA Security+) will be considered, but the candidate must have passed the SC-200 exam by the end of probation.
- Able to achieve a successful security clearance screening (SC).
- Microsoft Sentinel operations.
- Microsoft Sentinel administration.
- Microsoft Defender XDR operations and administration.
- Microsoft 365 administration.
- Graylog SIEM.
- Experience of Azure cloud services administration.
- Experience of administration Windows client and server OS.
- Experience of administration Linux OS.
- Understanding of Apple Mac OS.
- Good understanding of Networking and Networking Services.
- Good understanding of internet services (e.g. DNS, SSL, Domains, IP, and routing).
- Cloudflare administration experience.
- Programming/scripting (e.g. C#, Go, Python, PowerShell).
- Knowledge of hybrid AAD/EntralD and on-premises AD.
- Use of open-source tools outside standard tooling to gain insights.
