Position Overview

Clearance Opportunity: Potential to obtain SC Clearance

Proactive Appointments is seeking a dedicated SOC Analyst to enhance our dynamic SOC Operations team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with a Cyber Security Analyst Team as part of the SOC Service Desk, where you will triage, evaluate, and address potential cyber threats until resolution for clients.
  • Participate in a shift rotation to ensure 24-hour service coverage, including overnight and weekend hours.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents utilizing Microsoft Sentinel and a ticketing system.
  • Adhere to established processes for Incident, Problem, and Service Request management in line with ITIL best practices.
  • Assist in generating weekly and monthly reports, including analytical insights for various clients.
  • Oversee SOC tools, including their configurations and updates.
Qualifications Required
  • SC-200: Microsoft Security Operations Analyst certification
  • Other relevant SOC Analyst/Security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+) may be considered, provided the SC-200 exam is completed by the end of the probation period.
  • Ability to successfully pass a security clearance screening (SC).
Essential Skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Sentinel operations
  • Experience with Microsoft Sentinel administration is desirable
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Defender XDR operations and administration
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration is desirable
  • Experience with Graylog SIEM
  • Understanding of Azure cloud services administration is desirable
  • Experience in administering Windows client and server operating systems is desirable
  • Experience in administering Linux operating systems is desirable
  • Familiarity with Apple Mac OS
  • Strong understanding of Networking and Networking Services
  • Good grasp of Internet services such as DNS, SSL, Domains, IP, and routing
  • Experience with Cloudflare administration is desirable
  • Programming/Scripting skills in languages such as C#, Go, Python, or Powershell are desirable
  • Knowledge of hybrid AAD/EntralD and on-premises Active Directory is desirable
  • Utilization of open-source tools beyond standard tooling for insights is desirable
