Position Overview

Proactive Appointments is seeking a dedicated SOC Analyst to enhance our dynamic SOC Operations team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with a Cyber Security Analyst Team as part of the SOC Service Desk, where you will triage, evaluate, and address potential cyber threats until resolution for our clients.
  • Participate in a shift rotation to ensure 24/7 service coverage, including overnight and weekend hours.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents utilizing Microsoft Sentinel and our ticketing system.
  • Adhere to established processes for Incident, Problem, and Service Request management in alignment with ITIL best practices.
  • Assist in generating weekly and monthly reports, including analytical insights for various clients.
  • Manage and maintain SOC tools, configurations, and updates.
Qualifications

Required Certifications:

  • SC-200: Microsoft Security Operations Analyst
  • Other relevant SOC Analyst/Security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+) will be considered, provided the candidate has completed the SC-200 exam by the end of the probation period.
  • Ability to successfully pass a security clearance screening (SC).
Essential Skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Sentinel operations
  • Experience with Microsoft Sentinel administration (desirable)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Defender XDR operations and administration
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration (desirable)
  • Experience with Graylog SIEM
  • Understanding of Azure cloud services administration (desirable)
  • Experience in administering Windows client and server operating systems (desirable)
  • Experience in administering Linux operating systems (desirable)
  • Understanding of Apple Mac OS
  • Strong knowledge of Networking and Networking Services
  • Good understanding of Internet services such as DNS, SSL, Domains, IP, and routing
  • Experience with Cloudflare administration (desirable)
  • Programming/Scripting skills in languages such as C#, Go, Python, or Powershell (desirable)
  • Knowledge of hybrid AAD/EntralD and on-premises Active Directory (desirable)
  • Ability to utilize open-source tools beyond standard tooling for insights (desirable)
