Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated clinician to join our team of Psychiatrists in NHS Scotland. The successful candidate will have a passion for General Adult Community Psychiatry and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

The post offers a unique opportunity to work in a modern service for General Adult Psychiatry, serving a population across the city of Inverness. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team, working closely with colleagues, Urgent and unscheduled care services, Primary care, and Third Sector care providers.

The post holder will be supervised by and work alongside a Consultant Psychiatrist, providing medical assessment, care, and treatment to individuals with moderate to severe mental disorders. Eligibility for s22. AMP status would be an advantage.

The recent pandemic has accelerated our capacity to deliver services using digital technology, offering further opportunities and flexibility to the post holder. The post is based at New Craigs Hospital, Inverness, in the South and Mid Operational Unit at NHS Scotland.

There is an enthusiastic peer group of Specialty Doctors in the service, which meets regularly, and CPD and development of special interests are valued and encouraged.
