Adult Community Specialty Doctor in Psychiatry

We are seeking a skilled clinician to join our team of Psychiatrists in NHS Highland. This post offers the opportunity to work in General Adult Community Psychiatry, providing medical assessment, care, and treatment to those with moderate to severe mental disorder. The post holder will be supervised by and work alongside a Consultant Psychiatrist, attached to the same sector. The recent pandemic has accelerated our capacity to deliver this service using digital technology, opening up further opportunities and flexibility for the post holder. The post is based at New Craigs Hospital, Inverness, in the South and Mid Operational Unit at NHS Highland. Some travel will be expected and reimbursed.

The post holder will be part of a modern service for General Adult Psychiatry, serving a population spread across the city of Inverness. The post is an integral part of the Inverness community health team and is well supported by colleagues, Urgent and unscheduled care services, Primary care, and Third Sector care providers. The post holder will work in a collaborative environment, with a focus on quality and teamwork.
