Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Specialty Doctor to join our team in Community Paediatrics. As a Community Paediatrician, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to children aged 0-18 with additional needs, including ADHD and ASD. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to assess, investigate, diagnose, and manage these children's health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and manage children with additional needs, including ADHD and ASD
  • Provide general neurodevelopment and disability work
  • Conduct Health Assessments of Care Experienced Children
  • Lead Comprehensive Health Assessments of vulnerable children and young people experiencing neglect
  • Act as Medical Advisor to the Argyll & Bute Adoption Panel
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have full registration with the General Medical Council and have completed at least four years' full-time postgraduate training in a relevant specialty. You will also need to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team.

Working Arrangements

This role will involve working in a community setting, with outreach to Mid-Argyll and the islands of Bute and Islay. You will be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period to accommodate the new reduced working week.
