About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mobile Chef Manager to join our team at Chartwells - Schools. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our catering services in schools across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead and coach a team of kitchen staff to achieve high standards of quality and service.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure the efficient and effective operation of our kitchens, including stock management, promotions, and merchandising.
  • Health and Safety: Promote a safety culture and ensure team members are aware of and operate in accordance with company and client Health & Safety procedures.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to pupils, students, and staff, ensuring a positive experience for all.
  • Performance Management: Work with kitchen managers to achieve sales and profit margin targets, and conduct regular site visits to monitor performance.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience working in a school meal environment, with a strong track record of leadership and team management.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, engage, and develop team members.
  • Qualifications: IT literate, with experience working with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Skype.
  • Personal Qualities: Self-motivated, able to work well under pressure, and have high standards of personal hygiene.
