Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mobile Chef Manager to join our team at Chartwells - Schools. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our catering services in schools across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Excellence: Maintain high standards of quality work, ensuring that all meals are prepared and served to the highest standards.
- Team Leadership: Lead and coach a team of kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they are equipped to deliver excellent results.
- Customer Service: Liaise with customers and clients to ensure their needs are met, and provide excellent customer service at all times.
- Stock Management: Ensure that stock levels are maintained, and that all stock is used efficiently to minimize waste.
- Health and Safety: Promote a safety culture, ensuring that all team members are aware of and operate in accordance with company and client Health & Safety procedures at all times.
- Performance Management: Work with kitchen managers to achieve sales and profit margin targets, and provide coaching and support to ensure they are equipped to deliver excellent results.
- Site Visits: Conduct regular site visits to ensure that all sites are operating to the highest standards, and provide feedback and guidance to kitchen managers as needed.
- Training and Development: Attend training courses and meetings as required, and provide coaching and support to team members to ensure they are equipped to deliver excellent results.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience of working in a school meal environment, with a strong track record of delivering excellent results.
- Leadership: Experience of leading and coaching a team of people, with a strong ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with customers and clients, and lead, engage and develop team members.
- Organizational: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage own time efficiently to deliver results.
- IT Literacy: Proficient in using Microsoft Office, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Skype.
- Manual Duties: Ability to undertake a range of manual duties, including lifting and carrying heavy objects.
