Position Overview

We are pleased to present an opportunity for a Band 2 Patient Care Coordinator within the Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapy Team.

The Patient Care Coordinator serves as the primary communication link among patients, healthcare providers, and administrative personnel. This role is essential in ensuring that visitors are appropriately guided to the necessary services. Responsibilities include managing incoming communications from various sources, addressing inquiries, scheduling appointments, and providing reception support, including the electronic booking of patient appointments.

Additionally, the role encompasses handling incoming correspondence, performing document scanning, photocopying patient records, and executing other relevant tasks as required.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the local MSK team in various administrative functions.

- Manage and process incoming and outgoing mail efficiently.

- Assist medical personnel with miscellaneous administrative inquiries.

- Collaborate with the reception team to ensure smooth daily operations.

- Provide clerical and administrative assistance to other departments as needed.

- Engage in designated training and personal development initiatives.

- Participate in health promotion and related activities as required.

- Maintain inventory of essential stationery and supplies for the administrative team.

Role Responsibilities

- Welcome and assist patients upon arrival.

- Direct patients to the appropriate clinical staff and services.

- Schedule and manage patient appointments using the clinical system.

- Handle messages and communications through the clinical system.

- Respond to telephone inquiries from patients, staff, and external organizations.

- Process incoming and outgoing mail effectively.

- Support medical staff with various administrative tasks.

- Contribute to the reception team to ensure efficient daily operations.

- Provide clerical and administrative support to various staff groups as necessary.

- Participate in ongoing training and personal development.

- Assist with health promotion and related initiatives as needed.

- Ensure adequate supplies of stationery and administrative materials are maintained.
