Position Overview

Reed Property & Construction is seeking an experienced Electrical Operations Supervisor to oversee and manage site-based teams across various projects.

Key Responsibilities

The primary objective of this role is to lead and supervise personnel to ensure the successful completion of projects as per client specifications.

  • Assist Site Managers in enhancing service delivery, ensuring that performance metrics are consistently met.
  • Plan and oversee the work of the Projects team and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to defined standards, timelines, and budgets.
  • Engage proactively with Project Engineers to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
  • Promote a culture of safety and adherence to established work practices while managing environmental impacts and legislative compliance.
  • Handle day-to-day management of project personnel, including overseeing holidays, training, performance evaluations, and timesheet management.
  • Support the Construction Manager in daily operations and be prepared to step in as needed.
Safety and Compliance

Develop and maintain necessary Risk Assessments and Method Statements, ensuring they are reviewed and updated as required.

Collaborate with the Planning Engineer and Site Manager to guarantee that adequate and achievable work fronts are consistently available.

Team Management

Provide coaching and performance management for a diverse team, ensuring compliance with Electrical Safety Rules on site.

It is expected that the successful candidate will train to the Approved Person (AP) level concerning Electrical Safety Rules (ESR) and Isolation Safety Rules (ISR) and fulfill the duties of the Approved Person (AP) once qualified.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

  • Relevant Electrical Qualifications
  • CSCS Card
  • SSSTS or SMSTS certification
  • Experience in safety management within construction environments
  • A solid understanding of planned preventative maintenance
  • Proficient IT skills, particularly in Excel and Word
  • Previous experience in Water/Waste Water sectors is advantageous
  • A valid UK Driving Licence
