We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our team at RSK Group. As an Electrical Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of our projects, working closely with our Site Managers and Project Engineers to plan and execute electrical, mechanical, civil, and process elements of the project.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and Lead Site-Based Staff: Oversee the day-to-day work of site-based staff to achieve completion of projects as set out by the customer.
- Work Closely with Site Managers: Collaborate with Site Managers on all operational activities to drive service delivery and ensure key performance targets are maintained.
- Plan and Supervise Work: Plan work for, and supervise, the Projects team and any sub-contractors to ensure work is completed to a defined standard, within agreed time and budget.
- Ensure Adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental Legislation: Proactively liaise with Project Engineers to prioritize work fronts and ensure adherence to all Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation.
- Day-to-Day Line Management Responsibilities: Manage the performance of Projects craft persons, including holidays, training, performance, and timesheets.
- Responsible for Daily Delivery of Site-Based Activities: Ensure the daily delivery of site-based activities as per Programme.
- Actively Participate in Daily Site Briefings: Participate in Daily Site Briefings to ensure all site-based staff are aware of project progress and any changes.
- Ensure Correct Permits are in Place: Ensure correct permits are in place where required and associated documentation is completed to a high standard.
- Ensure High Standard of Productivity: Ensure a high standard of productivity is realized on site activities with efficient planning of labour, plant, and materials.
- Ensure Adequate Requirements are in Place: Ensure adequate requirements are in place to deliver with zero incidents, on time, with zero defects, and within customer compliance targets.
- Support Construction Manager: Support the Construction Manager in day-to-day activities and achieve adequate understanding of role to deputize when required.
- Creation of Risk Assessments and Method Statements: Create any required Risk Assessments and Method Statements, ensuring suitable revision and review is applied pre and post job completion.
- Drive Towards Right First-Time Vision: Drive towards a right first-time vision, continued job review, and lessons learned application.
- Attend Meetings with Sufficient Detail: Attend meetings with adequate level of detail to provide sufficient and satisfactory updates to the client.
- Build Strong Client Relationships: Build strong client relationships and ensure all weekly and monthly internal and external deadlines are met.
- Work with Planning Engineer: Work with the Planning Engineer to ensure performance indicators are created, shared, and utilized to drive performance.
- Ensure Clear Succession Plan: Ensure a clear succession plan is in place, with knowledge share and mentor direct reports to enhance their skill sets and experience.
- Consistently Promote High Standards: Consistently promote high standards through personal example, understanding the RSK Group vision and values, and what is expected of your team.
- Manage and Coach Individual's Performance: Manage and coach individual's performance with the ability to manage a variety of cross-functional team members.
- Ensure Working Compliance to Electrical Safety Rules: Ensure working compliance to RSK Group Electrical Safety Rules on site.
- Expected to Train to Approved Person Level: Expected to train to Approved Person (AP) level in relation to Electrical Safety Rules (ESR) and Isolation Safety Rules (ISR) where appropriate to the role.
- Relevant Engineering Degree or HND: Relevant engineering degree or HND, BTec, professional level 5 award, or equivalent NVQ level 5 qualification.
- Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Card Holder: Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Card Holder.
- Valid SSSTS or SMTS: Valid SSSTS or SMTS.
- Temporary Works Supervisor Certification: Temporary Works Supervisor certification.
- Proven Experience in Supervisory Role: Proven experience in a supervisory role.
- Experience in Safety Management Controls: Experience in safety management controls for construction works in general site conditions.
- Background in Electrical Engineering: Background in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience of MS Project and/or P6 Primavera Planning Software: Experience of MS Project and/or P6 Primavera planning software.
- Clear Understanding of NEC Form of Contract: Clear understanding of NEC form of contract is preferable.
- Sound Understanding of Planned Preventative Maintenance: Sound understanding of planned preventative maintenance.
- Good Oral and Written Communication Skills: Good oral and written communication skills.
- Good IT Skills: Good IT skills, including a working knowledge of Excel and Word.
- Previous Experience in Water/Waste Water: Previous experience in Water/Waste Water is desirable.
- Valid UK Driving Licence: Valid UK driving licence.
