Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our kitchen team as a Kitchen Assistant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness and ensuring the smooth operation of our food and beverage preparation areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Wash all crockery, cutlery, kitchen utensils, and equipment, as well as food service equipment, to maintain a high level of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Environmental Maintenance: Ensure that floors, walls, bins, and other areas are kept clean and tidy, and that cardboard and boxes are disposed of properly.
  • Food Safety and Hygiene: Maintain awareness of and adhere to all health and safety, fire, hygiene, and COSHH regulations governing the work being undertaken.
  • Reporting and Communication: Report any accidents, near misses, or equipment shortages to the Chef or Supervisor.
Requirements
  • Positive Attitude and Professionalism: Demonstrate a positive attitude, professionalism, and respect for others in the workplace.
  • Basic Food-Handling Skills: Possess basic food-handling skills and be able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Physical Demands: Be physically able to lift heavy items and work in a standing position for long periods of time.
