About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our team at RSK Group. As an Electrical Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of our projects, working closely with our Site Managers and Project Engineers to plan and execute electrical, mechanical, civil, and process elements of the project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Lead Site-Based Staff: Oversee the day-to-day work of site-based staff to achieve completion of projects as set out by the customer.
  • Drive Service Delivery: Support Site Managers to drive service delivery, recognized by the client, and ensure key performance targets are maintained.
  • Operational Activities: Work closely with Site Managers on all operational activities, including planning work for and supervising the Projects team and any sub-contractors.
  • Health, Safety, and Environmental Legislation: Ensure adherence to all Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation, promoting and maintaining safety and following established work practices.
  • Line Management Responsibilities: Day-to-day line management responsibilities for Projects craft persons, including holidays, training, performance, and timesheets.
  • Site-Based Activities: Responsible for daily delivery of site-based activities as per Programme, actively participating in Daily Site Briefings.
  • Permits and Documentation: Ensure correct permits are in place where required and associated documentation is completed to a high standard.
  • Productivity and Efficiency: Ensure a high standard of productivity is realized on site activities with efficient planning of labour, plant, and materials.
  • Incident-Free Delivery: Ensure adequate requirements are in place to deliver with zero incidents, on time, with zero defects, and within customer compliance targets.
  • Client Relationships: Build strong client relationships, attending meetings with adequate level of detail to provide sufficient and satisfactory updates to the client.
  • Performance Indicators: Work with Planning Engineer to ensure performance indicators are created, shared, and utilized to drive performance.
  • Succession Planning: Ensure a clear succession plan is in place, knowledge sharing, and mentoring direct reports to enhance their skill sets and experience.
  • Compliance and Training: Ensure working compliance to RSK Group Electrical Safety Rules on site, expected to train to Approved Person (AP) level in relation to Electrical Safety Rules (ESR) and Isolation Safety Rules (ISR) where appropriate to the role.
Requirements
  • Relevant Engineering Degree: Relevant engineering degree or HND, BTec, professional level 5 award, or equivalent NVQ level 5 qualification.
  • Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Card Holder: Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Card Holder.
  • Valid SSSTS or SMTS: Valid SSSTS or SMTS.
  • Temporary Works Supervisor Certification: Temporary Works Supervisor certification.
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience in a supervisory role, experience in safety management controls for construction works in general site conditions.
  • Background in Electrical Engineering: Background in Electrical Engineering.
  • MS Project and P6 Primavera Planning Software: Experience of MS Project and or P6 Primavera planning software.
  • NEC Form of Contract: Clear understanding of NEC form of contract is preferable.
  • Planned Preventative Maintenance: Sound understanding on planned preventative maintenance.
  • Good Communication Skills: Good oral and written communication skills, good IT skills including a working knowledge of Excel and Word.
  • Valid UK Driving Licence: Valid UK Driving licence.
