About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Biomedical Scientist to join our Microbiology team at iPP Analytics Limited. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert microbiological services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and interpret routine and specialist biomedical investigations autonomously, ensuring high-quality results and adherence to quality standards.
  • Provide professional leadership and technical guidance to junior staff members, including Trainee BMS, Associate Practitioner, Laboratory Technicians, and MLAs.
  • Collaborate with senior staff members to develop and implement effective laboratory practices, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Act as a key contact and laboratory link for Infection Control, providing expert advice and guidance on microbiological matters.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in various microbiological techniques, including manual and automated methods, and stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements.
Requirements
  • HCPC registration and a minimum of 2 years post-registration experience in Microbiology.
  • Proven experience in working with industry-standard laboratory information management systems and computer applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients.
