About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Biomedical Scientist to join our team at iPP Analytics Limited as a Specialist Biomedical Scientist in Cellular Pathology. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to take on a key role in our laboratory, working closely with our team to provide high-quality diagnostic services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake routine and specialized laboratory techniques in the processing of Diagnostic Cytology (Non Gynae) samples.
  • Provide technical advice to clinical staff and participate in the development of new tests and research.
  • Perform and interpret routine and specialized Biomedical investigations, and participate in the scientific and technical activities of the laboratory section.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies and regulatory directives, including those related to quality control and quality assurance.
  • Utilize laboratory information management systems and computer applications to support laboratory activities.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders, and participate in laboratory and other meetings as directed.
  • Plan and prioritize work allocations, training plans, and audits, and respond to the needs of routine and urgent activities.
Requirements
  • IBMS Accredited BSc in Biomedical Science or equivalent.
  • HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist.
  • IBMS Specialist Diploma in Cellular Pathology.
  • Knowledge and experience of Histology/Diagnostic (Non Gynae) Cytology processing, techniques, pre-screening, and practices at post-honours degree level.
  • Ability to work across multiple sites in a 24-7 work environment.
  • Good knowledge and experience of industry-standard laboratory information management systems and computer applications.
