Support Professional for Young Adult with Autism

People Plus ILS is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to assist K, an 18-year-old young adult with Autism, in developing essential life skills.
K is a friendly individual who enjoys computer games and Marvel films. He can be initially shy but warms up quickly once he gets to know you.
Your Role:
- Support K in accessing community resources, enhancing his money management skills, and understanding the value of money through activities like creating shopping lists, selecting items at the store, and making purchases.
- Assist K in becoming more comfortable and familiar with public transportation, particularly buses.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
While experience working with young adults with Autism is beneficial, it's not mandatory. We are looking for someone who:
- Possesses the skills to build K's confidence in navigating community settings and encourage his independence.
- Demonstrates a strong ability to establish trust and understanding through clear communication and boundaries.
- Is passionate about supporting others in achieving their full potential and living fulfilling lives.
Compensation:
£16.50 per hour for 4 hours per week.
Requirements: Enhanced DBS clearance is essential.
