About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at People Plus ILS. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting an individual with Autism to access the community, improve their life skills, and become more independent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the individual to access the community, including public transport and shopping
  • Assist with improving money management skills, including preparing shopping lists and paying for items
  • Help the individual to become more familiar and comfortable with using public transport, particularly buses
  • Support the individual to build their confidence and independence
  • Communicate effectively with the individual and their support network

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with individuals with Autism (desirable but not essential)
  • Ability to build trust and understanding with the individual
  • Good communication skills with clear boundaries
  • Motivation to support the individual to live their best life
