About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Mentor to join our team at Dovetail and Slate Ltd. As a Learning Support Mentor, you will play a vital role in empowering students with learning challenges to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Student Support: Provide individualized support to students with learning and physical disabilities, helping them thrive in all aspects of their education and personal development.
  • Motivation and Engagement: Motivate students to stay engaged in their studies, fostering their self-confidence and independence as they reach their full potential.
  • Personal Care and Support: Offer compassionate assistance with personal care tasks, including mobility support and health-related needs, ensuring students feel supported and valued.
  • Adaptive Learning: Adapt and enhance learning materials to meet the unique needs of each student, creating an inclusive and effective educational environment.
  • Independent Learning: Guide students in developing essential skills and strategies for independent learning and personal organization, empowering them to manage their own educational journey.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: GCSE's in both Maths and English (grade c/4 or above)
  • Experience: Experience within the care sector (EY, HSC etc)
  • SEN Experience: Experience/ Familiar or have an understanding of SEN needs and how to support this (desirable)
  • Attitude and Skills: Positive and outgoing attitude with a willingness to learn new things/ grow and progress with the company.
