Passenger Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to assist with the appointment of a Passenger Assistant on a 3.5-month contract, with the possibility of extension at the client's discretion. The successful candidate will work closely with our team to ensure the safe and efficient transportation of adults with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in Shropshire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and escort adults with SEN to and from day services on transport, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date information on all transport services, including schedules and passenger details.
  • Liaise regularly with the Specialist Travel Coordinator to ensure efficient services and staff training.
  • Ensure all risk assessments and passenger information are up-to-date and accurate, including seating plans.
  • Install and maintain equipment such as seats, harnesses, and clamping systems in vehicles, as required.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.

Important Notes:

  • The successful candidate must be available to start immediately or at short notice.
  • They must have the right to work in the UK.
  • An enhanced DBS check is required for this role.
