Job Title: Financial Management Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Management Officer to join our Central Payments Services team. As a key member of our QA team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our payment processes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Authorise high-value invoices and ensure accurate payment processing.
  • Produce and check reports for potential payment errors and taxation queries related to CIS.
  • Resolve invoice queries posted into the financial management system.
  • Work with high levels of accuracy for tasks such as checking documents and recording numerical and alphabetical information.
  • Manage your own workload and use your initiative to adhere to time scales and deadlines.
  • Prepare invoices for manual processing and perform monthly reconciliation of transactions within the control account.
  • Record payment errors and deal with the recovery of these payments.
  • Deal with complex queries written and verbal.

Requirements:

  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, including face-to-face, telephone, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with multiple teams and contribute to their development with suggestions for new ways of working.
  • Ability to work on your own and use initiative to adhere to time scales and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of the applications, systems, and IT programmes utilised by the service and being able to accurately record and retrieve information.
  • An understanding of the importance of providing excellent customer service and experience of dealing positively with challenging situations.
