About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef de Partie to join our team at Holroyd Howe, a leading contract caterer in the UK. As a key member of our culinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional food services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Production: Assist the Head Chef in all aspects of food preparation, production, and service, ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and train kitchen staff and kitchen assistants, ensuring adherence to food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Menu Planning and Development: Assist in menu planning and development, taking into consideration dietary restrictions, nutritional guidelines, and seasonal ingredients.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee stock control and ordering to maintain appropriate inventory levels while minimizing waste.
  • Event Execution: Collaborate with the catering team to execute special events, themed dinners, and other culinary initiatives.
  • Kitchen Environment: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, always following health and safety regulations.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience working in a similar role within a contract catering company or educational institution preferred.
  • Culinary Qualifications: Culinary degree or relevant certifications from a recognized culinary institute.
  • Food Safety Knowledge: Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
