Advanced Clinical Practitioner Endoscopy Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our Endoscopy team at Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading by example, and empowering nurses and other healthcare professionals to improve care and participate in strategic planning.
Main DutiesThe Advanced Clinical Practitioner will work at an advanced level within their area of competence, providing patient-centered clinical care, encompassing assessment, examination, diagnosis, and treatment. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing effective leadership and guidance within the endoscopy service
- Managing a caseload of patients and working flexibly across all areas of the team
- Participating in research and development within the specialist area
- Assisting patients with personal care, following Trust manual handling guidance
- Working in highly distressing and emotional circumstances
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A First-level Registered Nurse qualification
- A Degree in Nursing
- Education at Masters Level (Advanced Practice or equivalent)
- A Teaching qualification
- Non-medical independent prescriber status
- PACR (Patient Assessment and Clinical Reasoning) course qualification
Desirable qualifications include a Leadership course/qualification and a Master's Degree.
