Advanced Clinical Practitioner Endoscopy Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our Endoscopy team at Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading by example, and empowering nurses and other healthcare professionals to improve care and participate in strategic planning.
Main Responsibilities- Work at an advanced level within your area of competence and flexibility across all areas of the team.
- Provide effective leadership by leading by example, empowering nurses and other healthcare professionals to improve care and participate in strategic planning.
- Undertake research within the specialist area and contribute to the development of professional practice through the promotion of evidence-based practice and audit of standards of care.
- Assist patients with personal care following Trust manual handling guidance and work in frequent highly distressing and emotional circumstances.
- Use audit to develop practice in self and others and participate in research and development.
Essential Qualifications
- First-level Registered Nurse
- Degree in Nursing
- Education at Masters Level (Advanced Practice or equivalent)
- Teaching qualification
- Non-medical independent prescriber
- PACR (Patient Assessment and Clinical Reasoning) course qualification
Desirable Qualifications
- Leadership course/Qualification
- Master's Degree
Knowledge and Skills
- JAG accredited and Independent Nurse Endoscopist in Upper or/and Lower GI procedures
- Ward Manager/Team leader experience
- Evidence of service development/improvement
- Ability to facilitate group supervision
- Proven skills in leadership and motivating others
- Advanced assessment skills
- Creative thinking
- Proven experience in risk management
- Expert in venepuncture/cannulation/vascular access devices
- Evidence of participating in research and development
