Supplies Officer Assistant

Job Summary:
Adecco is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Store Support Assistant to join our team at North Wales Police. As a Store Support Assistant, you will provide administrative support to the Supplies Manager, ensuring the smooth operation of the stores department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the Supplies Manager, including maintaining and administering the Stores IT systems, assisting with general clerical duties, and raising purchase orders.
- Stock Management: Perform stock checks, investigate and resolve discrepancies, and monitor stock levels to ensure accurate inventory management.
- Customer Service: Receive and assist customers, visitors, and drivers, providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive experience.
- Uniform Management: Supply and fit uniform to staff, and arrange destruction/disposal of returned clothing items or stock written off.
- General Stores Maintenance: Undertake general stores maintenance, including stock relocation, stock checking procedures, and ensuring a safe and tidy working area.
Requirements:
- Previous Experience: Previous experience working in a similar environment to stores/supplies is essential.
- Basic IT Skills: Basic IT skills, keyboard skills, and knowledge of processing orders/invoices are required.
- Physical Demands: The role requires applicants who can demonstrate physical fitness to carry out duties and tasks, including lifting and handling equipment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to work effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and managers.
