Job Title: Sustainability & Environmental Officer (Permanent)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainability & Environmental Officer to join our team at ZipRecruiter. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in driving our environmental sustainability initiatives and ensuring our operations are environmentally responsible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Energy Efficiency: Develop and implement strategies to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions across our operations.
  • Carbon Footprint Reduction: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for reducing carbon emissions and develop plans to achieve our carbon reduction targets.
  • Water Conservation and Waste Management: Implement effective water conservation and waste management practices to minimize our environmental impact.
  • Single-Use Plastics Reduction: Develop and implement strategies to reduce single-use plastics usage across our operations.
  • Building Management Systems: Collaborate with our facilities team to optimize building management systems and reduce energy consumption.
  • Recycling and Sustainability Initiatives: Develop and implement recycling programs and other sustainability initiatives to minimize our environmental footprint.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as environmental science, sustainability, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: Proven experience in sustainability and environmental roles, with a strong understanding of environmental policies and regulations.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners.
