Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Dermatology team at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will provide senior clinical nursing leadership and professional development for the nursing and support workers within the clinical area.
Key Responsibilities- Provide skilled assessment of patients, including history taking, skin assessment, and interpreting test results.
- Use expert clinical knowledge to diagnose and manage patients with dermatological conditions.
- Act as a role model and provide direct patient care in all areas of Dermatology Outpatients, including Phototherapy, Daycare, and Theatre.
- Contribute to the performance of diagnostic procedures for the Dermatitis Service and train nursing staff in relevant competencies.
- Prescribe medications as a Non-Medical Prescriber within the area of specialty.
- Recognize own limitations and seek advice or refer patients to other clinicians when required.
- Registered general nurse with a degree and post-registration qualification relevant to the specialty.
- Experience in Dermatology, including taking medical histories and providing teaching and assessing.
- Ability to adapt to change and de-escalate difficult situations.
- Proven leadership skills and ability to work autonomously.
