Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Band 6 Nurse to join our team on Bluebell B Ward, a respiratory and endocrinology ward at BHRUT Hospitals. As a Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading a team of staff, and contributing to the management of the clinical area.
Main Duties
- Provide support to the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse in effectively leading and managing the ward
- Participate in all ward activities as an effective team member, supporting the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse in taking responsibility for the leadership of a team of staff
- Assess care needs, and develop, implement, and evaluate programmes of care, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
- Teach and supervise qualified and unqualified staff, and act as a role model to junior staff, undertaking performance management
- Take responsibility and accountability for a group of patients and the whole ward for the duration of the shift
- Provide holistic nursing care to clients within Bluebell B Ward
- Develop personally and professionally as an effective member of the multidisciplinary team and undertake appraisal annually
- Act as a role model to junior colleagues
- Provide teaching and mentorship to junior colleagues
- Contribute to the maintenance of a safe environment
- Report any potential or actual problems to line manager and/or Matron when appropriate
- Act as a link nurse when required

Education/Qualifications
- Registered Nurse
- Demonstrates evidence of commitment to professional development
Desirable Criteria
- Teaching and Assessing Course
- Relevant respiratory knowledge and experience
- Recent experience working at Band 6 level
Skills/Abilities
- Commitment to continuing educational development
