Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced GP Receptionist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to our healthcare professionals, ensuring the smooth operation of our practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Administrative Support
- Answering surgery telephones and responding to patient inquiries
- Making appointments and managing patient schedules
- Receiving patients on arrival and processing paperwork
- Dealing with repeat prescription requests and e-referrals
- Carrying out tasks in workflow manager and booking transport
- Assisting patients with booking blood tests and requests
- Supporting the practice manager in achieving QOF targets
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills
- Providing excellent customer service and communication skills
- Working effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and other staff members
- Technical Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
- Ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies
Requirements
- Qualifications
- GCSE in English and Maths or equivalent
- Experience
- Good computer skills and experience in dealing with the public
- Desirable
- Experience of working in a GP practice
