About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Havering Court Care home. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring our residents receive high-quality meals and exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the link between the main kitchen and our residents, ensuring seamless communication and service delivery.
  • Assist the chefs in preparing meals, plating dishes, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Monitor stock rotation, adhere to company policies and procedures, and follow all mandatory COSHH and HACCP guidelines.
  • Assist with catering for special events, such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties, to create memorable experiences for our residents.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a passion for food, previous experience working in a kitchen, and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. You should be able to deliver an excellent service at each meal, making our residents feel at home. You will also need to maintain high standards in and around the home, ensuring our residents enjoy a pleasant dining experience.
