Job Overview

We are looking for skilled Lead Project Coordinators to become part of our Defence sector teams across the UK. In this position, you will engage in a variety of both domestic and international projects. You will be part of a group of passionate professionals dedicated to innovation and the delivery of advanced solutions. Although primarily based in the UK, there may be occasional short-term international travel required.

Our prominent Ministry of Defence projects have included significant initiatives such as Project Wellesley at Worthy Down and the new Gosport Oil Fuel Depot.

Key Responsibilities

As a Lead Project Coordinator, you will collaborate within a team to effectively manage and deliver capital investment projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Day-to-day project management, including contract oversight, client relations, team management, and financial tracking.
  • Engaging positively with construction and design teams to collaboratively address risks, prevent claims and disputes, while maintaining thorough documentation to swiftly address arising issues.
  • Providing client-side project management support throughout all phases of the project delivery lifecycle, from option studies to contract administration.
  • Building and nurturing a strong professional network and actively participating in industry events.
  • Possibly taking on Line Management duties, where you will inspire and mentor team members.

Essential Skills

  • Client-side project management, including stakeholder engagement, scheduling, and contract management.
  • Ability to foster strong collaborative relationships with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Efficient delivery of project management outputs, adhering to agreed timelines and quality standards.
  • Coordination and approval of all management information produced by the project management team prior to dissemination.

Qualifications

  • Proficient understanding of NEC3 / NEC4 contracts or similar, with strong commercial awareness.
  • Collaborative leadership skills.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational abilities.
  • Relevant industry experience, particularly within the Government Sector (including UK MOD).
  • Willingness to work at various sites across the UK, including those requiring SC Security Clearance.
