The Position

As an Assistant Retail Manager at Majestic, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Store Manager to enhance sales performance and oversee daily operations. Your focus will be on delivering an outstanding customer experience while ensuring operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

In this position, you will act as a representative of the store, ensuring that our customers receive a memorable shopping experience.

  • Assist the Store Manager in driving store performance and managing daily operations. Take charge of the store and team in their absence.
  • Maximize sales opportunities and enhance KPI performance by identifying key areas for improvement and developing actionable plans.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to foster loyalty and encourage repeat business.
  • Offer a personalized service to customers, keeping them informed about new products and events.
  • Share your enthusiasm for our products by engaging customers with in-depth knowledge and hosting tasting events.
  • Support the recruitment, management, and development of team members, acting as a mentor for junior staff.
  • Encourage team members to expand their product knowledge and pursue WSET qualifications.
  • Maintain the store's appearance and ensure it meets high standards both inside and out.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for operational improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and complete necessary training.
  • Communicate updates and information effectively within the team.

Required Knowledge & Skills:

  • Experience in a fast-paced retail or hospitality environment.
  • Proven ability to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Understanding of retail KPIs and strategies for improvement.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in high-pressure situations.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Positive attitude and a commitment to finding solutions.
  • Excellent communication and time management abilities.
  • WSET Level 2 qualification is essential, with a willingness to pursue Level 3 for career advancement.
  • Valid UK/EU/EEA driving license with a clean record.
