Job Summary

GSL Education is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Support Worker to provide care and support to children in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day care and support to children, promoting their safety, well-being, and personal development.
  • Promote positive behaviour and manage challenging behaviour effectively, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
  • Assist with educational and recreational activities, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
  • Provide emotional support and act as a role model for the children, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children or young people in a residential or similar setting, with a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviour and promote positive outcomes, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate, understanding, and tolerant personality, with the ability to accommodate varying work schedules.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, with the ability to satisfy background safer recruitment checks.
