GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team at a supportive school in Gateshead. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to adults, helping them achieve their personal goals and improve their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide day-to-day support and care to adults in a residential setting, promoting independence and encouraging participation in community activities.
- Assist with personal care, daily activities, and social interactions, developing and implementing individual care plans.
- Monitor and report on the well-being and progress of residents, working collaboratively with other staff members to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
- Experience working with adults in a care or support role, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with residents and staff, demonstrating patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting adults.
- Relevant qualifications or training in adult care are desirable but not essential.
Please note that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
