About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Key Account Executive to join our team at JK Foods. As a leading importer and distributor of foods from Asia and the Far East, we are looking for a talented individual to develop and maintain strong relationships with our major retail accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a business contact for all major retail accounts, developing key accounts and maintaining long-term relationships.
  • Satisfy customer requests related to invoices, purchase orders, and other documents.
  • Handle customer queries, track customer orders, and respond to requests.
  • Coordinate with logistics and marketing divisions to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies.
Key Result Areas, Tasks, and Main Duties
  • Support the Sales Director in researching accounts and generating sales leads for the JK Foods Tiger Tiger brand.
  • Design and present product and business presentations to major retailers' buying teams.
  • Identify and develop key customer contacts, booking appointments with supermarket buyers and head office teams.
  • Build strong relationships with clients to maintain business and acquire new customers.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships and contact with retail buying teams.
  • Provide promotional support for key accounts and liaise with supply chain, warehouse, logistics, and customers to secure well-executed in-store promotions and availability.
  • Deliver agreed monthly and three-monthly business sales forecasts.
  • Provide customer support for new product launches, including new line information, product codes, and pack samples.
  • Resolve customer complaints and track all processes pertaining to every client account.
  • Act as the client's representative in the organization to facilitate excellent customer service.
  • Collect and analyze data about consumer behavior to understand trend changes in client needs.
  • Administer key accounts, including new line forms, updating, and reviewing EDI systems.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and experience of using EDI supermarket systems.
  • Previous experience and knowledge of key account management within major retail supermarkets.
  • Experience liaising with supermarket buyers and good communication skills.
  • Up-to-date understanding of consumer behavior in the industry.
  • Commercial and business planning/forecasting experience.
  • Product knowledge awareness.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills to address client complaints or needs.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills to deal with different clients and departments.
  • Analytical skills for analyzing client data.
  • Multitasking and time management skills to manage multiple clients and tasks.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
