Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mental Health Assistant to join our team at a reputable Primary School in the London Borough of Redbridge. As a Mental Health Assistant, you will work closely with the SEND, Pastoral, and Safeguarding teams to provide support to students with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mentor students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) requirements, and Safeguarding needs.
  • Develop strong relationships with pupils, including those with Work Experience Placements, Learning Skills Centre, and College Links.
  • Plan and run group sessions and 1:1 sessions addressing the needs of students.

Requirements:

  • Graduate with a keen interest in Mental Health, Therapy, Psychological Research, Education, Speech and Language, Special Needs, and related fields.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate pupils.
