Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and caring Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at a leading Primary School in Waltham Forest. As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the emotional and mental well-being of children and young people in our school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children in and out of the classroom to promote their emotional and mental well-being
  • Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis to address any issues or concerns they may have
  • Act as a buddy to provide support and guidance to pupils
  • Provide in-care and after-care services to pupils
  • Work with parents, senior leadership team, and social services to ensure the best possible outcomes for pupils

Requirements:

  • Must be able to inspire and motivate pupils to achieve their full potential
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of child and adolescent mental health and well-being
