Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and caring Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at a leading Primary School in Waltham Forest. As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the emotional and mental well-being of children and young people in our school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support children in and out of the classroom to promote their emotional and mental well-being
- Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis to address any issues or concerns they may have
- Act as a buddy to provide support and guidance to pupils
- Provide in-care and after-care services to pupils
- Work with parents, senior leadership team, and social services to ensure the best possible outcomes for pupils
Requirements:
- Must be able to inspire and motivate pupils to achieve their full potential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of child and adolescent mental health and well-being
