Job Description

EdEx Education Recruitment is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at a reputable Secondary School in Hackney.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and small group support to students with SEMH needs, including those with ASD, ADHD, and SpLD.
  • Assist class teachers in delivering core subject material and promoting a positive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with the school's SENCO and other support staff to develop and implement individualized support plans.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to promote mental health and wellbeing among students.
Requirements:
  • A strong academic background, with a 2:1 or 1st Class degree in a relevant field.
  • A passion for working with young people and a commitment to supporting their mental health and wellbeing.
  • Previous experience working in a school setting, preferably with students with SEMH needs.
  • A good understanding of SEN/SEMH needs, including ASD, ADHD, and SpLD.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive daily rate of £105-£110.
  • A long-term, full-time contract with a September start.
