Job Title: Mental Health Support Worker

EdEx Education Recruitment is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at a fantastic Secondary School in Newham.

About the Role:
  • Provide support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD).
  • Work alongside a dedicated team of teachers, teaching assistants, and support staff to deliver high-quality support to students.
  • Liaise with the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to ensure effective support for students with additional needs.
  • Assist class teachers in delivering materials centered around core subjects, including English, Mathematics, and Science.
  • Lead 1:1 and small group interventions to target pupil progress and improve outcomes.
Requirements:
  • A graduate with a strong academic record, including a 2:1 or 1st Class degree.
  • Experience working with children and SEN/SEMH needs.
  • A good understanding of the current curriculum and educational policies.
  • A passion for working with young people and making a positive impact on their lives.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive daily rate of £105-£110.
  • A long-term, full-time contract with a September start.
  • A term-time only position, Monday to Friday.
