Job Opportunity: Aramark UK is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of General Manager at one of our esteemed client sites.

About the Role: As a General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our food service and hospitality offerings. This includes managing a team of staff, developing and executing strategy, and driving engagement and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management: Be responsible for the management of the site and the respective teams, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Financial Management: Adhere to set annual budgets for sites and achieve them, maintaining financial information systems as required by Aramark and the client.
  • Menu Planning and Stock Management: Support with menu planning and stock management, ensuring efficient inventory control and minimizing waste.
  • Quality and Safety: Assume overall responsibility for Quality and Safety compliance on sites, implementing and maintaining appropriate procedures as outlined by HR, Q&S, and Internal Audits.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate site performance and productivity, consistently reviewing financial and operational performance to ensure achievement of all business and financial targets.
  • Team Management: Manage recruitment, training, and development of management teams on site, providing regular feedback on performance and driving team success.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience operating as a General Manager in a contract catering/hospitality environment, with a strong track record of success.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead a team to success, drive standards, and foster a culture of excellence.
  • Financial Acumen: Experience managing a P&L and associated finances, with a strong understanding of financial management principles.
