As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day functions within accounts, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, and collaborating with other departments to optimize financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all accounting transactions for a group of companies
  • Manage the accounts team of 5 people
  • Prepare Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Forecasts for the group company directors
  • Prepare budget forecasts
  • Publish financial statements in time
  • Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
  • Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
  • All accounts payable and receivable are reconciled by your team
  • Ensure timely bank payments are made by your team
  • Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
  • Report on the company's financial health and liquidity
  • Audit financial transactions and documents
  • Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
  • Develop, implement, and comply with financial policies and regulations

Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications within the finance sector or accounting
  • Significant work experience as an Accountant/Finance Manager
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software, including Sage
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, including V-lookups and pivot tables
  • Experience with general ledger functions
  • Recognized accounting qualification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must have IDLR/Full Rights to Work in the UK - Sponsorship or Work Permits will not be accepted/provided
