We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Leader to join our team. This role is crucial in overseeing the maintenance operations at our facility, which has a rich history of producing premium dairy products. Our site is dedicated to delivering a variety of cheese products to the food service sector and major retailers.
The Facilities Maintenance Leader will provide strategic direction to the engineering maintenance team. The primary objective of this role is to ensure that all maintenance tasks are performed to the highest standards, maximizing equipment uptime and adhering to compliance regulations.

Key Responsibilities- Manage and execute the weekly maintenance schedule and address any urgent maintenance needs.
- Ensure the effectiveness of the site maintenance asset care program, measured through established KPIs.
- Utilize technical expertise to resolve equipment issues that lead to production downtime.
- Formulate plans to reduce emergency repairs and enhance planned maintenance activities.
- Build and lead high-performing teams, empowering employees and nurturing talent.
- Oversee spare parts inventory to minimize equipment downtime while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
- Administer the maintenance budget, ensuring effective spending to minimize unplanned downtime and enhance operational efficiency.
- Maintain an organized library of maintenance documentation, including equipment manuals and compliance records.
Essential Requirements:
- Relevant electrical or mechanical trade qualification, diploma, or degree.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar leadership role.
- Strong supervisory experience in a manufacturing context.
- Exceptional troubleshooting skills.
- Proven ability to foster strong working relationships.
- Knowledge of maintenance best practices and CMMS systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and capable of technical analysis and report writing. Skilled in interpreting CAD drawings for various applications.
- Fluency in English and the local language.
Desirable Attributes:
- Experience in the food industry.
- Familiarity with CAD and programming skills.
