About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team at Macklin Care Homes. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, comfort, and functionality of our care homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and execute maintenance management tasks across multiple locations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance, including inspecting buildings, systems, and equipment for issues.
  • Troubleshoot and repair issues, or schedule repairs when needed.
  • Ensure the care homes are safe and compliant with regulations, including fire, smoke, and carbon monoxide systems.
  • Order and maintain supplies and tools, and monitor inventory.
  • Ensure facilities and equipment are kept clean at all times.
  • Maintain records of maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Delegate tasks to other maintenance team members as and when required.
  • Perform general facilities support tasks, such as furniture building and removal, and grounds and site clearance.

Requirements:

  • Minimum two years' experience in a similar role, preferably in healthcare or senior living environment.
  • Leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and supervise a team of maintenance staff.
  • Full driving licence and access to your own car for travelling as required.
  • Be eligible to work in the UK.
  • Must have a good command of written and spoken English.
  • Ability to work set hours and be flexible to meet the needs of the organisation.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Electrician/Plumbing Certificate.
  • Previous experience of undertaking PATs testing.
  • Good general knowledge of Health & Safety requirements and regulations.
