We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead our engineering maintenance department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring equipment and facilities maintenance is completed to a high standard, maximizing machine availability, and meeting all compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver the weekly maintenance works schedule and any urgent work that arises.
  • Accountable for delivering the site maintenance asset care programme, ensuring its effectiveness and efficient delivery measured using standard KAMS KPIs.
  • Apply technical skills and ingenuity to the correction of equipment problems causing excessive production downtime and maintenance work as necessary.
  • Develop a plan and timeline to eliminate emergency repair work and maximize planned and project work.
  • Build effective teams, promote empowered high-performing employees, and continually nurture our internal talent.
  • Oversee the spare parts inventory holding, ensuring it is optimized to minimize equipment downtime at minimum inventory levels.
  • Manage the maintenance department budget, detailing spending by category and maximizing expenditure effectiveness for minimum unplanned production downtime and maximum workplace efficiency.
  • Manage an updated maintenance library, consisting of plant drawings, equipment manuals, software program backups, regulatory, and compliance files for all primary production and support equipment.

Requirements

  • Electrical or mechanical relevant trade qualification, diploma, or degree.
  • Proven experience in a similar role.
  • Solid supervisory/leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent troubleshooting ability.
  • Proven track record building solid working relationships.
  • Knowledgeable in Maintenance best practice and CMMS systems to assist in delivering same.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft programs Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Good technical analysis ability and proficient in report writing. Fully proficient in interpreting CAD drawings, for electrical, mechanical, and facilities applications.
  • Fluent in English and local relevant language.
