Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with the Child Health Team at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust to be part of the Autism Diagnostic Team with an additional day offering Speech and Language Communication Needs (SLCN) assessment and interventions within the community.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide expert speech and language therapy opinion as part of the autism diagnostic process.
  • Work predominantly with paediatricians, but also with psychologists and specialist nurses.
  • Deliver SLCN assessment and interventions within the community, working within the integrated therapy team in Dover.
  • Conduct clinics on occasion in Canterbury.
  • Provide ADOS only appointments as required.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience working with children, including experience working within the field of autism.
  • Effective registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
  • Proactive, creative, and highly motivated therapist.
  • Passionate and innovative individual.
  • Team player to join our existing friendly team.
  • Ability to travel around the locality as required.
