Multilingual Interpreter Required for Varied Assignments

We are seeking a skilled Multilingual Interpreter to join our team at Language Empire. As a freelance interpreter, you will work with various UK organisations, providing high-quality interpreting services in a range of settings. Your primary role will be to listen to, understand, and accurately convey speech from one language to another, ensuring seamless communication between service users and providers.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:
- Providing consecutive, simultaneous, and public service interpreting services in various settings, including the NHS, local authorities, police, and private organisations
- Liaising between service users and providers to ensure effective communication
- Working with confidential information and maintaining data protection protocols
- Developing and maintaining your skills through continuous professional development
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- Fluent English language skills and the ability to interpret in one or more additional languages
- Suitable formal qualifications, such as a Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI), Community Interpreting, or a degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A genuine passion for language and culture, with the ability to adapt to diverse situations and environments
