CNC Programmer/Setter

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer/Setter to join our production team in Margate, Kent. As a CNC Programmer/Setter, you will be responsible for implementing tool set ups and validating CNC processes, identifying suitable tooling and fixturing, and delivering training on tool setting and CNC operation to production workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement tool set ups and validate CNC process via to handover to operators.
  • Identify suitable tooling and fixturing ensuring documentation is maintained.
  • Validate and edit CNC programmes via interpretation of engineering drawings.
  • Measure and validate components through use of first principle measuring equipment.
  • Deliver training on tool setting and CNC operation to production workforce.
  • Identify potential non-conformances and implement preventive measures.
  • Assist in fault finding through communication with supporting departments.

Requirements:

  • Working experience in the manufacturing industry with a bias towards machining operations.
  • Proven experience in CNC Turning and Milling operations.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience: Preferably 5+ years in an Engineering/manufacturing environment.
