Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with the Child Health Team based in Canterbury to be part of the ASD diagnostic team with an additional day offering SLCN assessment and interventions within the community.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide an expert speech and language therapy opinion as part of the autism diagnostic process.
  • Work predominantly with paediatricians but also with psychologists and specialist nurses.
  • Deliver SLCN assessment and interventions within the community.
  • Collaborate with the integrated therapy team in Dover, working with early years children and autistic children.
  • Attend clinics in Canterbury and Dover as required.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 4 years paediatric post-qualification experience with in-depth experience of autism.
  • Qualified SLT with HCPC registration and RCSLT membership.
  • ADOS trained (desirable).
  • Highly developed negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent analytical and reflection skills.
