About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Hydon Hill, a vibrant and dynamic service that actively involves its users in their local community.

As a Support Worker with Leonard Cheshire UK, you will play a vital role in enabling vulnerable people to live the life they choose. You will work closely with our customers to support them with daily life tasks, including personal care, medication, and mealtimes.

You will also escort and assist our customers in and around the service, at external events, and appointments. Your role will involve supporting our Person Centred approach, encouraging maximum independence for our customers, and helping to achieve individual aspirations.

We are looking for someone with good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively. You will work flexibly and creatively with customers and their families, ideally having personal care experience. You will be able to work under pressure and as a team, with flexibility to work within rostered hours and participate in an on-call rota where required.

A night enhancement of £1.50 per hour will apply from 8pm to 7am Monday to Sunday, and a weekend day enhancement of £2.00 per hour will be paid from 7am to 8pm, Saturday and Sunday.
