About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Support Worker to join our team in Godalming, Surrey. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care provision for all aspects of the individual resident's assessed needs in line with their care plan.
  • Assist the manager with the management of the team and organise the team in their absence.
  • Supervise and manage support workers and bank staff, including their appraisals, supervisions and induction where appropriate.
  • Support other senior staff and assist in the implementation of management decisions.
  • Follow all Policies and Procedures.
  • Assist individual residents with personal care, mobility, and feeding.
  • Administer and store prescribed medication in line with legislation.
  • Communicate and convey relevant information about the residents to team members, ensuring their plan of care is regularly updated.
  • Report any accidents or untoward incidents to senior staff immediately.
  • Be aware of Safeguarding Adults at Risk Policies and procedures.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience of care work, with a strong understanding of person-centered planning.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and reliability.
  • High degree of confidentiality.
  • Willingness to attend and participate in relevant training.
