About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Home Manager to join our team at Felbrigg House, a specialist care home providing support for individuals with learning disabilities and autism.

As a Deputy Home Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the service, working closely with the Registered Manager to lead the nursing team and provide high-quality care and support to our service users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Registered Manager in leading the nursing team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and support.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring they are person-centred and meet the individual needs of our service users.
  • Contribute to the recruitment, training, and development of staff, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge required to provide excellent care.
  • Work closely with the senior Nurse and Ward Manager to coordinate the on-call service and manage ward budgets.
  • Lead by example, acting as a role model to all members of the nursing team, and promote good teamwork and communication.
Requirements
  • Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or willing to work towards.
  • Excellent track record in a senior role within the healthcare sector.
  • Understanding of learning disabilities, epilepsy, and sensory processing issues.
  • Passion for improving clinical quality and care.
  • Strong leadership skills.
